TVNZ’s Executive Producer of Lifestyle Programmes, Simone McNaught, has announced that Lisa Manning has been appointed as the new presenter of Good Morning, TVONE’s daily morning lifestyle show.
Lisa will be a familiar face to many New Zealanders, having been a reporter for Holmes and Fair Go for several years and the presenter of the popular Mitre 10 DIY Rescue series. Most recently, Lisa has been working as an executive producer for Touchdown Productions.
“I’m absolutely over the moon. It’s still sinking in because it’s what I’ve always dreamed of presenting – two hours of live telly every day. What a challenge! It’s the best of both worlds for me. I’ll be using my journalistic skills combined with my people skills and there’s such incredible scope to do both on Good Morning,” Lisa says.
Good Morning will be broadcast live from Avalon this year. However, advertorials and a number of the regular presenter segments will be recorded in Auckland.
“I’m looking forward to being back in the capital working with some wonderfully creative people at Avalon,” says Lisa, “I used to queue up outside to go and watch Telethons there when I was younger. It’s still such a thrill walking through the doors.”
